Sales Engineer

About the position

HYDAC Technology is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our Cape Town branch. This role is ideal for a driven professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer engagement and sales growth.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 3–5 years’ experience in an engineering or technical environment (preferred)
• Good working knowledge of Fluid Power (advantageous)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies with management.
• Grow and manage existing and new customer accounts.
• Provide technical support and prepare/follow up on quotations.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct customer visits and maintain strong relationships.
• Assist with system design, quoting, and commissioning.
• Prepare sales forecasts and reports.
• Travel locally and within SADC as required.
• Attend relevant training and development programs.
