Sales Engineer

About the position

A process engineering business that performs turnkey services for the food and beverages industry is looking for a mature Sales Engineer with strong negotiation skills. The company designs the systems for the processing of products, the fabrication of the systems (generally in stainless steel for a hygienic environment) and installation on site. This also includes the automation and electrification to the systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with existing clients and ensure that all needs are met in terms of services and maintenance
• Find new clients in order for the company to offer services and or tender on upcoming projects
• Secure vendor applications with new clients
• Obtain information on projects and plants and handover to internal engineering teams for the processing and submission of pricing and delivery
• Focus on all elements of the business for work opportunity, which involve inter-alia design work, piping installations, electrical panels, maintenance, automation of existing systems and new systems and the supply and installation of cooling towers

Requirements:

• Understanding of engineering in the Food and Beverage industry
• Tertiary education would be advantageous
• Personable and good communicator
• Must be prepared to travel and have their own car
