Location: Cape Town, with travel across Africa
Salary: Market-related, dependent on experience
You're a technically minded and commercially savvy professional with a solid background in the Oil & Gas industry. With a strong understanding of EPCI workflows, you have hands-on experience with FPSOs, platforms, and processing plants. Your expertise in mechanical and structural engineering, combined with an analytical mindset, enables you to develop cost-effective solutions for clients. You're a natural relationship builder with a strong professional network and the ability to identify new opportunities while managing existing client relationships. If you have a keen ability to translate technical expertise into business success and are comfortable with frequent travel across Africa, this role is for you.
In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with sales and project teams to identify client needs, develop proposals, and provide technical insights for offshore oil & gas projects across Africa. Your ability to assess feasibility, conduct risk evaluations, and support project execution will be critical in ensuring client confidence and successful project delivery. You'll also contribute to business development efforts, leveraging your industry connections to expand opportunities. Additionally, you'll support marketing initiatives, assist in drafting proposals, and occasionally travel offshore for site surveys. Your expertise will drive strategic growth in Greenfield and Brownfield projects while reinforcing the company's reputation as a trusted industry leader.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or a related field) is required, along with at least five years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector. You should have a strong understanding of EPCI workflows, offshore infrastructure, and industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, DNV, or Eurocode). Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous. Proven experience in sales, business development, and proposal preparation is essential, as well as the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel extensively across Africa and occasionally to Europe is a must.
