About the position
Opportunity for a Sales Engineer in the Industrial Instrumentation sector. Well established company in Gauteng is seeking a suitably qualified Candidates in Johannesburg. Role reports to the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit the relevant product knowledge to identify and provide appropriate technical solutions
- Ensure yearly budgets are met
- Sell Industrial Instrumentation solutions into a geographically defined area
- Prepare, in conjunction with management, the annual budget
- Interface at a high level to Principles
- Prepare and present product presentation to clients
- Submit weekly call reports
- Attend weekly sales meetings
- Build solid relationship with staff/clients and Principles
- To be proactive in developing sales opportunities
- Compile tender submissions to meet client's needs
Requirements:
- Technical qualification or plant experience
- Proven sales track record, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales within Industrial Instrumentation
- Knowledgeable in Industrial Automation, with experience in selling solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Client-driven and customer-focused mindset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Mature personality with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to operate independently
- Applicants should have sales or plant experience in some or all the following equipment: Level measurement, Flow measurement, Temperature measurement, Pressure measurement and Field measurement
Market related basic, depending on experience. Open ended commission OTE, based on sales margin. Car and fuel allowance, Pension, Medical Aid and Training provided.
