About the position
Background:
Our Client who is in the Financial Services sector, is looking for a driven Sales Director to lead teams and grow business in a competive market
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within financial services or related industries
- Proven track record in multi-line financial services sales, including credit insurance, bonding, and investment products
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and business plans
- In-depth understanding of the South African financial services market and regulatory landscape
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy across all business lines (credit insurance, guarantees and bonding, credit management platform, debt collections, top-up and gap cover, and investment solutions)
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets for each business line
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company’s Client base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Clients, industry Stakeholders, and strategic Partners
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to continuously refine sales approaches and product offerings
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Underwriting, and Product teams to ensure alignment and maximize commercial impact
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and presentations for senior management
- Drive a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement within the sales function
