About the position

Sales Director - UK Campaign (Cresta, Johannesburg)

We're scaling fast - and we need a proven sales leader who knows how to build, inspire, and drive results.

As our new Sales Director, you'll take full ownership of our outbound sales operation - leading multiple teams, shaping strategy, and driving expansion from 10 agents to 40+. You'll be responsible for creating a high-performing, value-driven cold-calling environment that consistently delivers quality conversations, strong conversions, and long-term customer relationships - focused on selling the strength of our product and service, not competing on price.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in high-performance sales cultures and knows how to scale from good to great.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading, developing, and scaling the outbound sales operation (currently 10 agents, growing to 40+)
  • Building a value-based cold-calling culture focused on product quality, service, and long-term customer relationships
  • Managing and mentoring Sales Managers and Team Leaders to achieve ambitious performance targets
  • Designing and implementing outbound sales strategies aligned with company growth goals
  • Driving recruitment, onboarding, and training to build confident, professional salespeople
  • Analysing sales data and KPIs to continually improve conversion, efficiency, and ROI
  • Collaborating with the leadership team on forecasting, campaign direction, and performance reporting
  • Setting and managing departmental budgets and KPIs
  • Overseeing compliance, call quality, and brand standards
  • Representing the South African sales division within the wider leadership structure

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of proven sales leadership experience, with a track record of building and scaling cold-calling teams
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams to sell on service and product value - not price
  • Strong technical competence with the ability to understand, demonstrate, and communicate YUMA's EPOS and software solutions confidently
  • Experienced and proficient in CRM systems such as Zoho, with a data-driven approach to managing performance and pipeline visibility
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and strong coaching ability
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing large outbound teams (20+), ideally within tech, SaaS, or payments
  • Bonus: Experience with UK or US sales campaigns, EPOS, or technology sales
