About the position

Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, ambitious, and highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join a rapidly expanding beverage solutions business operating within the café, hospitality, retail, and foodservice sectors.
This role is ideal for a resilient sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and enjoys outbound sales, lead generation, and business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and generating qualified meetings for the sales team.
The position focuses heavily on B2B outbound prospecting across distributors, coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, retailers, franchise groups, and hospitality businesses throughout South Africa and potentially international markets.
The ideal candidate is energetic, confident on the phone, commercially aware, and eager to grow within a scaling business.

Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and other lead generation channels
  • Identify and engage prospective B2B clients within the hospitality, café, retail, and foodservice sectors
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities and book meetings for senior sales representatives and management
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect databases and lead lists

Business Development Support

  • Research target industries, companies, and decision-makers to identify new business opportunities
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads according to predefined sales criteria
  • Nurture prospects through consistent follow-up and relationship building
  • Support the sales pipeline by ensuring leads progress effectively through the sales cycle

CRM & Sales Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, notes, activities, and pipeline information
  • Track prospect interactions, follow-ups, and meeting outcomes
  • Prepare weekly pipeline and activity reports for management
  • Ensure data integrity and sales reporting accuracy

Collaboration & Sales Strategy

  • Work closely with management and the sales team to achieve growth objectives
  • Contribute ideas and strategies to improve lead generation and outbound conversion rates
  • Assist with refining outreach messaging, prospecting sequences, and sales campaigns
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities

KPI & Performance Management
Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly targets relating to:

  • Outbound calls
  • Qualified meetings booked
  • Lead generation
  • Conversion ratios
  • CRM activity metrics

Maintain a highly proactive and performance-driven approach to sales development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in:

  • Proven experience with cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
