About the position

INTERNAL NAMING CONVENTION: SALES COORDINATOR CASH & CARRY

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL

  • Matric Certificate
  • 1 - 2 years relevant selling experience
  • Syspro working experience would be advantageous
  • Some form of ingredients/butchery or HMR knowledge will be advantageous
  • Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for all accurate capturing of customer orders received from Area Managers or directly from customers whilst constantly aspiring to meet sales and gross profit targets. This job holder must assist in developing sound customer relationships and the securing of sales orders from said [URL Removed] job holder would also share the responsibility of obtaining market intelligence as well as assisting in providing key documents (product quotations, product certificates and pricelists, etc.) to customers. As part of a team of sales co-ordinator the job holder shares responsibility in assisting the procurement department with information that can assist the procurement process This role includes the managing/servicing and replenishing showroom stock and displays

SCOPE OF JOB

  • Contacting customers telephonically to drive sales and support area managers with an entrepreneurial attitude and team spirit.
  • Assist area managers in achieving set sales budgets as well as gross profit targets.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities with business intelligence and click view reports as guidance together with the respective area manager's strategy
  • Using business intelligence to drive and ask about lost opportunities or suggestive selling or reviving dormant accounts and product lines.
  • Cold calling on new customers.
  • Accurate loading of sales orders on the ordering system
  • Assisting in generating quotes and admin functions.
  • Minimize credit notes through accuracy of order processing
  • Reporting on a weekly basis on competitor activity and market share changes.
  • Build a relevant CRM platform by capturing all customer / area manger activities and supplying the relevant reports (Syspro)
  • Assist in the Cash & Carry with friendly, proud passionate advice and sales driven attitude because this is the face of deli spices

Basic Job Functions:

Finance

  • Assist with new customer credit applications if required including making sure that all supporting documents are included.
  • Assist in achieving set trading target in terms of sales and gross profit figures
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the net profit of the allocated and "new potential" customer base
  • Increase existing product ranged at customers
  • Identify new potential products at customers
  • Actively drive promotions
  • Ensure the correct product, at the correct quantity is issued to customers at the correct price
  • Till cash up responsibility and balance accuracy

Process

  • Build a solid process between customers' requirements and the internal sales process to ensure agreed products and promotions are rolled out across all stores.
  • Develop and execute opportunities from a potential Sales pipeline.
  • Research and build relationships with all clients.
  • Introduce Deli Spices to customers identified on Sales pipeline
  • Cold calling on potential and dormant customers
  • Reduce credit notes by accurate invoicing, saving expenses by unnecessary deliveries and avoid customer frustrations.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels
  • Checking stock for the showroom using the FIFO system
  • Ensure that stock is on the shelves and equipment is on the showroom floor
