About the position

Reports to - Key Accounts Manager

Key Customers
Internal Stakeholders - Sales Administration, Plant Supervisors, Area Managers, General Manager
External Customers - Existing and potential customers

Role Overview
To serve as liaison between customers and the company by identifying and contacting current and prospective clients, generating ready-mix sales solutions and servicing customers to ensure satisfied customers, quality and consistency of service and product.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate with Maths (National Dip/BCom/BA Degree or studying towards would be an advantage).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry- Ready-Mix
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good knowledge of sales and advertising techniques.
  • A good team player with a high level of dedication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.

Experience

  • 5 years related experience

Special Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license (Code B)

Key Outputs

  • To serve as liaison between the Sales department and Customers.
  • Identifying and contacting current and new prospective clients.
  • Generating sales proposals and servicing existing accounts to ensure quality and consistency of service and product delivery.
  • Generate reports for Senior Management that will give a clear overview of sales activities in the areas responsible for, and detail that is required from time to time on a monthly basis.
  • Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
  • Inform customers of unforeseen delays or problems.
  • Monitor the progress of the sales team, identify shortcomings, and propose improvements.
  • Arrange and assist with the organizing of company marketing events.
  • Ensure a healthy IR climate.
