REQUIREMENTS
- BA Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or any related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 5 years experience in a sales or business development role.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening, verbal, and written communication.
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential customers, demonstrating effective networking and relationship-building skills.
- Results-driven mindset, with a sense of urgency and ability to work independently to meet sales targets.
- Ability to present/articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
CAPABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- Conduct market research and identify potential customer segments, industries, and geographic areas for business development.
- Actively prospect and generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, nurture leads throughout the sales process, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Conduct sales presentations to potential customers, showcasing the value and benefits of services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to drive business growth.
- Prepare sales proposals and negotiate pricing as well as contract terms with potential customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Achieve/exceed sales targets and performance metrics, providing regular reports and updates to sales management.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance sales skills and knowledge.
The proposed salary for the role is R15k - R25k per month plus a commission scheme, but the option remains with the client to offer any market related salary considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
