About the position
My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and oversee marketing plans
- Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns
- Conduct research to understand customer needs, identify market trends, and evaluate competitor activities
- Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses
- Work with internal teams (sales, product development, etc.) and external agencies to achieve marketing objectives
- Ensure that marketing activities consistently reflect the brand's values and guidelines
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in marketing
- Take full ownership of sales strategy, execution, and performance - develop, drive, accelerate / innovative commercial strategies to align with the company's ambitious changing market-place goals and objectives across retail and online channels
- Understand the requirements of existing customers and ensure their needs are being met
- Deliver and exceed ambitious sales targets and shareholder expectations
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to ensure profitability
- Support the development of new product ranges in line with customer needs and brand positioning
- Provide clear leadership and direction to internal and external sales teams
- Manage budgets and control costs within approved parameters
- Monitor and interpret market trends to inform commercial decisions
- Prepare and present accurate, actionable sales data and forecasts
Experience
- Tertiary Qualification + desirable marketing, textile, and additional business qualification
- Polished communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluent in English, Afrikaans
- Good knowledge and proven experience in the local Retail/ FMCG/ Clothing sector industry i.e. proven retail/ textiles sales record and contact base
