About the position

My client based in Bellville (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

IT / Finance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and oversee marketing plans
  • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns
  • Conduct research to understand customer needs, identify market trends, and evaluate competitor activities
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses
  • Work with internal teams (sales, product development, etc.) and external agencies to achieve marketing objectives
  • Ensure that marketing activities consistently reflect the brand's values and guidelines
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in marketing
  • Take full ownership of sales strategy, execution, and performance - develop, drive, accelerate / innovative commercial strategies to align with the company's ambitious changing market-place goals and objectives across retail and online channels
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers and ensure their needs are being met
  • Deliver and exceed ambitious sales targets and shareholder expectations
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to ensure profitability
  • Support the development of new product ranges in line with customer needs and brand positioning
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to internal and external sales teams
  • Manage budgets and control costs within approved parameters
  • Monitor and interpret market trends to inform commercial decisions
  • Prepare and present accurate, actionable sales data and forecasts

Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification + desirable marketing, textile, and additional business qualification
  • Polished communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English, Afrikaans
  • Good knowledge and proven experience in the local Retail/ FMCG/ Clothing sector industry i.e. proven retail/ textiles sales record and contact base
