About the position

Reports to: Sales Manager

Duties:
Your role is to support the Key Account Executive, Head of Sales and Business Developers by giving clerical or admin support to the sales team to ensure the focus remains on customer satisfaction and coordinating sales team activities.

  • Accountable and responsible for all Administrative related functions within the Sales department.
  • Prepare, administer and coordinate sales admin in an efficient manner to support the Sales staff.
  • Assist Business Development team in ensuring that clients' expectations are met and exceeded
  • Maintain CRM records and documentation, ensuring accuracy of all data
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments for team from leads provided
  • Create and keep up to date master copies of current company products and services as well as relevant competitor analysis
  • Assist clients with Employment Equity analysis, planning and reporting requirements
  • Conduct training and workshops as and when required
  • Act as brand ambassador for Apex Group also attending skills development, employment equity and networking events
  • Participate in training and development initiatives
  • Provide daily updates to Sales Manager on activities and challenges
  • Ensuring that prices and contracts are up to date
  • Supporting the sales force with general operations to help reach the team's objective
  • Updating customer profiles electronically and in customer files.
  • Pro-actively notify the customer of any service issues that may impact his business such as updates on pricing
  • Ensuring that credit applications are complete and assist with credit application forms and vetting customers.
  • Ensuring that the company's procedures are followed.
  • Assist the Accounts Department in resolving any account-related queries with customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints by liaising with all parties concerned until the customer is satisfied with the outcome. Refer to management for assistance when required.
  • Assist with every potential activity, which cannot be reasonably defined in this job description, in support of the Sales Division.
  • Be able to organize time effectively, with the purpose of completing today's work today
  • Continuous product knowledge improvement (ongoing training)

Qualifications :

  • Matric
  • Call Centre / Project Management / office management certificate or diploma
  • MS Office
  • Tertiary education in Sales is an advantage
  • 3- or 4-year degree in commerce in business or similar
  • Experience in a sales or customer service environment would be an advantage
