The Role: Sales Manager / Account Manager
As Sales Manager / Account Manager, you'll take ownership of revenue growth, strategic accounts, and new product opportunities. This role blends hands-on account leadership with structured pipeline development, market research, and cross-functional collaboration. Your contribution will directly support business expansion while driving continuous improvement across sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key accounts, identifying and converting new revenue opportunities
- Lead timely, accurate quotation processes and ensure conversion to orders
- Conduct market research on customers, competitors, trends, and new product opportunities
- Develop outreach strategies to win, retain, and expand client relationships
- Track and report on team performance metrics to measure campaign and project impact
- Create compelling content for web, social media, and other marketing platforms
- Support product costing, margin improvements, and marketing cost savings
- Troubleshoot sales/marketing issues and implement corrective actions and best practices
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Toolroom, and Maintenance to meet customer requirements
About You
- Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in the steel sector (experience in electrical wholesale or construction will also be considered)
- Qualification: Diploma/BTech/BSc (Engineering) or Diploma/BCom with costing and sales experience in steel
- Proven track record in account management, forecasting, and pipeline discipline
- Strong analytical ability for performance tracking, costing, and ROI evaluation
- Skilled communicator, able to produce clear and compelling customer-facing content
- Growth-minded, organised, and confident, leading cross-functional initiatives to deadlines
