About the position

Introduction

This is a telephonic advice business unit within Old Mutual. As a Direct Sales Financial Advisor within Direct Financial Advice, you have the opportunity to work within a financial sales outbound contact center where you will receive qualified leads, you will be enabled by receiving comprehensive training, the necessary system and management support to assist you in building a successful career as a Financial Adviser. This role has been identified as a role governed by the execution of sales under the FAIS act and, as a result, the successful candidates must therefore comply with all FAIS requirements of a matric or equivalent, including the Fit and Proper requirements of Honesty and Integrity (e.g. be clear of any offence relating to fraud, dishonesty and/or any professional misconduct) as well as competence and relevant qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Productivity

  • Sells OM products or services over the telephone.
  • Achievement of sales targets and objectives within tight business disciplines and processes
  • Identifying new creative means of achieving sales/campaign goals (within compliance regulations)
  • Ensures compliance to process & procedures to minimize business risk
  • Keep abreast of new technology and processes being implemented within the area
  • Working towards achievement of sales targets within a diverse team
  • Quality management of ALL outputs, with the end customer in mind
  • Optimal operational efficiencies must be maintained
  • Adapt and change to fit in with changing business operational requirements

Financial Advice

  • Effectively handles all client queries professionall without providing advice
  • Will be dealing with customer banking details
  • The use of appropriate applications and technology in a professional, client-centric manner

Continuous Learning

  • Managing information regarding new products, rate changes, rulings, training updates etc.
  • Keep abreast of developments and trends in the Individual Life Industry - self learning
  • Ensure commitment to the FAIS F&P qualification requirements

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Contact Centre Experience - min 12 months
  • Customer service + sales target with commission Experience
  • Must have experience reaching steep sales targets.
  • Must have a proven sales track record.
  • Strong level of computer literacy (including Ms Office) to interface with multi-system technology.
