About the position
A well-established company in the Alberton is seeking a SAICA Trainee Accountant to join their audit and accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
- Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation
- Assist with statutory audits, independent reviews and agreed-upon procedures
- Prepare annual financial statements using Draftworx
- Prepare accounting records, reconciliations and financial reports
- Assist with accounting and taxation-related tasks
- Liaise professionally with clients regarding audit and accounting queries
- Ensure all work complies with professional standards and company procedures
- Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines while delivering quality work
Minimum Requirements
- Studying towards or completed a SAICA-accredited BCom Accounting or CTA qualification
- Eligible to enter into a SAICA Training Contract
- Strong academic record
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
