About the position

DBN000243 – Sage 300 People & SAGE Payroll Advanced Consultant - Remote South Africa 
 
Purpose of the job:
To manage, configuring, and optimize the Sage 300 People and Sage Payroll Advanced systems from start to finish. This entails organizing intricate payroll runs, guaranteeing complete regulatory compliance, and utilizing system modules to improve business productivity.
 
Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Sage 300 People and Sage Payroll Advanced is typically non-negotiable.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
  • Sage 300 People and Sage Payroll Professional/Advanced certifications are highly advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
  • Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data extraction and report writing.
  • Experience with integrated Time and Attendance or Biometric systems (e.g., ERS or Jarrison).

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • System Configuration & Maintenance
  • Manage the Job Profile Management, Leave, and General Ledger modules of Sage 300 People by performing sophisticated setup and configuration.
  • End-to-end Payroll Processing: Complete monthly payroll cycles for several organizations while guaranteeing precision in tax, deduction, and earnings computations.
  • Compliance & Statutory Reporting: Make sure the system is up to date with the most recent tax rules and reconcile and submit all statutory forms (such as EMP201, EMP501, COIDA, and UI19).
  • Analytics & Reporting: Create and export personalized management reports with Excel, SQL, or the integrated report writers.
  • Employee Life Cycle Management: Manage the system's position management, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • User Support & Training: Offer internal teams or clients expert-level troubleshooting and training on the Sage 300 People and SPA platforms.
