About the position

A dynamic manufacturer based in the East Rand is looking to employ a Safety Officer with 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • SAMTRAC / Relevant Safety Related tertiary qualification (highly advantageous)
  • 3-5 Years’ experience working as a Safety Officer
  • Computer literacy (Excellent)
  • Valid driver's license and own transport
  • Safeguarding lives, preventing accidents and fostering a secure work environment
  • Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and taking measures to mitigate them
  • Addressing unsafe behaviours and hazardous conditions promptly
  • Promoting safety awareness through effective communication
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and formulating policies
  • Investigating accidents and preventing their recurrence
  • Conducting Toolbox Meetings and regularly discussing safety practices with employees
  • Coordination of Hazardous Waste Management and handling hazardous waste safely
