About the position
The role will be responsible for end-to-end live route tracking and execution management of all routes within a specific Business Unit for which the role will be responsible. This position will be operating on shift as part of a team who will execute 24 hours and 7 days a week. Part of this role's responsibilities will be tracking of routes, alert management, exception management and escalation, Expediting, trending & analysis, communication with drivers and depot's and should play an integral part in improving the productivity of operational teams. Responsibilities Daily, Live Execution Management of all routes for assigned Business Unit.
Qualifications:
Matric or equivalent; and Advanced Studies (Tertiary Diploma/Degree) advantageous
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in operations in transport environment.
- Computer Literacy (MS Office, Outlook)
- Specific industry experience beneficial.
- Experience with the functionality of TMS systems.
- Minimum Requirements
- Non-negotiable: Own reliable transport to accommodate all shift hours.
- Language skills: Fluent English (additional language advantageous based on specific region that he/she will be responsible for).
- Basic understanding of execution management in terms of transportation within Primary as well as Secondary Distribution.
- Displaying a clear interest in transportation.
- Must be able to work shifts.
- Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills (English, verbal and written)
