About the position
The Risk and Compliance Administrator provides professional legal and administrative support to the business, ensuring effective delivery of research, contract management, due diligence, policy review, and compliance monitoring. The role assists in maintaining the organisation’s legal integrity, supports policy and risk framework development, and ensures adherence to legislation and regulatory requirements.
Legal & Contract Administration
- Draft, review, and finalise contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Maintain and update the central contract repository and ensure document accuracy.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations to business operations.
- Develop and manage standardised contract templates and workflows.
- Support due diligence exercises and vendor/supplier contract reviews.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Assist in implementing and maintaining compliance and risk management frameworks.
- Monitor and report on organisational compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits through documentation and evidence gathering.
- Maintain risk registers and track remediation actions.
- Develop compliance tools, training materials, and awareness campaigns.
Policy & Research
- Research and analyse legal and regulatory issues affecting the business.
- Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures.
- Contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and policy development.
- Prepare accurate reports, legal documents, and management updates.
Advisory Support
- Provide legal and compliance support to internal departments (HR, Finance, Operations, IT).
- Respond to internal legal queries and compliance-related questions.
- Participate in cross-functional compliance committees and working groups.
Requirements - LLB Degree (Bachelor of Laws) or relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or Business Administration.
- 1–2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or risk management environment (internship or graduate experience acceptable).
- Exposure to POPIA, FICA, Companies Act, King IV governance principles, or similar regulatory frameworks preferred
