About the position
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Honours in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role with proven experience in wholesale or distribution management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- In-depth knowledge of wholesale industry practices, trends, and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP software
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability & meet or exceed sales targets, increasing profit margins
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including sales, procurement, warehouse management, and customer service
- Manage and motivate a team of Sales Representatives, Warehouse & Administrative personnel
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Customers, Suppliers, and other Stakeholders
- Monitor market trends and Competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Ensure market share growth & successful implementation of competitive strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to assess branch performance and identify areas for improvement (financial KPIs, cost-saving initiatives)
- Develop and implement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Resolve Customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term business strategies & ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives & achievement of long-term goals
