Retail Store Supervisor

About the position

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Retail Store Supervisor that is going to be part of one of the leading Foodservice Distributors in South Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Receive payments from customers on the POS system.
• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Identify customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them.
• Assist in training new staff as and when needed.
• Clean and stock the shop shelves as needed according to procedures.
• Maintain back stock area according to department standards.
• Assist colleagues as and when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Cleaning of Chef shop is completely the responsibility of all staff.
• Knows and adheres to Quality Standards for customer service as outlined by the Manager.
• Assist in any other department as and when needed.
• Understands and adheres to organization and department.

Requirements:

• Matric

• A tertiary qualification in Sales will be advantageous.

• Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Great Plains.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years retail store management experience will be advantageous.
• Prior experience in pricing and margin management over a range of products.
• Experience in point-of-sale systems.
• Prior experience in stock control, merchandising and stock.
