About the position
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and approachable Retail Sales Representative to join our team in the Western Cape. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales and marketing expertise who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys building relationships with store managers and in-store teams.
You will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of retail stores across the region, following a structured weekly call cycle. Your ability to drive sales, maintain excellent product presentation, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit retail stores in line with your weekly route plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff
- Present product offerings, pricing, and new launches to customers
- Take orders and ensure accurate processing
- Monitor stock levels and ensure products are well merchandised
- Ensure products are correctly displayed, well-stocked, and not short dated
- Collaborate with merchandisers to maintain high in-store standards
- Plan and coordinate in-store activations with store management
- Address queries, returns, and product-related concerns professionally
- Track deliveries and follow up on outstanding orders
- Communicate product quality concerns to relevant internal teams
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within wholesale and retail (non-negotiable)
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Western Cape
- Valid driver’s licence with at least 3 years’ driving experience
