They are seeking a motivated and client-focused Retail Operations Consultant to join their Retail Operations team in Cape Town. This role is responsible for processing client investment transactions, supporting independent financial advisers, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across all client interactions. Responsibilities:
Client Administration & Transaction Processing
- Accurately process new and existing investment instructions within required service standards.
- Process new business applications, account openings, additional investments, withdrawals, and account amendments.
- Review incoming instructions for accuracy and completeness before processing.
- Monitor and follow up on pending transactions to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Client Service
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and independent financial advisers via telephone and email.
- Respond to client queries professionally, accurately, and within agreed turnaround times.
- Build and maintain strong client and adviser relationships through responsive and solution-focused communication.
- Escalate complex queries where appropriate while maintaining ownership of the client experience.
Administration & Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and transaction activities on internal systems.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, compliant, and correctly filed.
- Support data integrity and contribute to efficient operational processes.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate effectively with team members and the Team Leader to achieve operational objectives.
- Assist colleagues with workflow management and technical queries where required.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of investment products, processes, and applicable legislation.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Relevant Business Degree and/or job related experience.
- Previous experience within financial services, investments, or client administration will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Life Insurance industry (including Pension Funds) and/or Unit Trust industry will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of administrative processes and client service principles.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
