The Role: Retail Operational Manager
As the Retail Operational Manager (ROM), you will oversee the full performance and profitability of company-owned retail stores. This senior leadership role blends strategic oversight with hands-on retail management, ensuring operational consistency, driving sales growth, leading staff development, and enhancing the overall customer experience. You will be instrumental in new store setups, training, and executing marketing and brand initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets across all outlets
• Monitor and analyse sales reports, footfall, and conversion metrics
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and brand standards
• Support local and national marketing campaigns, including digital marketing
• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of store staff
• Maintain customer satisfaction through service standards, feedback loops, and NPS
• Drive cost-control initiatives, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Lead visual merchandising consistency across stores
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk standards
• Contribute to strategic planning and execution of new store growth

About You

• Minimum 6 years in senior retail or franchise operations management
• Background in FMCG or automotive retail is highly beneficial
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Strong understanding of retail sales and operations processes
• Skilled in people leadership, coaching, and team development
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and digital tools
• Results-driven, strategic thinker with high EQ and change agility
• Strong communicator with proven negotiation and relationship-building ability
• Comfortable managing multi-site operations in a fast-paced environment
