Retail Management Accountant

About the position

A well established investment holdings company that has business interests in food retail and property management is looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their team!



Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration is required
• Min 3yrs general accounting experience, preferably having dealt in the food retail/FMCG industry
• Valid Drivers Licence with own car
• Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities:

• Fixed Asset Management
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations review
• Salary Control Account Reconciliations review
• Intercompany Loan balancing and review
• Interbranch Transfers balancing
• Management Account preparation and review of smaller entity accounts before submission for final review by FM
• Analyse complex financial reports and records
• Review journal entries of bookkeepers to ensure accuracy
• Train and mentor Junior Staff
• Assist the Financial Manager with forecasting reports
• Assist the Financial Manager with new company set up's
• VAT calculation and submission thereof
• Manage the Bookkeeping Team
