About the position
Our client is recruiting for an exceptional Cost Accountant who is detail-orientated and dedicated to managing all aspects of their Retail business' costing administration.
Responsibilities:
Product costing and tooling inventory reporting and maintenance - comparing actual costs with estimates and analyse any variances
Preparing cost estimates/quotes for new products and product changes
Updating BOMs as necessary
Assisting with stock counts
Loading cost estimates/quotes into relevant systems
Assisting with reconciliations/schedules
Maintaining accurate records for old and new product costings
Managing inventory and product records
Providing audit information on a continuous basis
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in cost and management accounting, including analysis and reporting
A B.Com degree or equivalent is preferred, and progress towards a CIMA qualification would be advantageous
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in ERP systems and BOM. Familiarity with business intelligence software would be beneficial
Experience in a Retail, FMCG or E-commerce environment is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
High level of accuracy and a meticulous work ethic
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
