Qualifications:
B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering

Experience:
Minimum 20 years of relevant geotechnical experience on major road projects.
SANRAL will consider candidates with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience

Skills and Competencies:
Strong background in geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
Excellent project management skills with a focus on geotechnical aspects.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in geotechnical analysis and design software.
Thorough understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities:
Assume the role of Resident Engineer with a focus on geotechnical aspects for road projects.
Provide expertise in geotechnical engineering to ensure the stability and safety of road infrastructure.
Conduct thorough geotechnical investigations and analyses for project sites.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to address geotechnical challenges and implement effective solutions.
Oversee the design and implementation of geotechnical aspects of road projects.
Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with geotechnical standards and specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.

Ability to commence duties immediately.
