Reservations Consultant

About the position

Reservations Consultant required to join top hospitality group. Head office is Pretoria based but the successful incumbent will work from home as the position is specifically for the 13h00 to 21h00 shift.

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
3+ years reservations experience (lodge / hotel / tour operator)

Overview of position

Daily tasks:

• Handling of all individual and group booking enquiries and correspondence as received per email / telephonic /direct website or through any website / channel manager / online booking platforms.
• Quotes, Provisional bookings, Confirmations, Cancellations & Invoices.
• Pre-stay email / information to all guests and trade partners; agents & tour operators
• Liaising with travel agents, International & SADC tour operators, direct guests, management & directors relating to all daily reservation operations where required
• Receipt of all necessary agent & guest information: arrival & departure details, dietary requirements, agent originator & originating country etc.
• Reservation accounting & debtors enquiries: international and local reservation payments and travel agent commission invoices
• Sending of all rates & monitoring of all reservation platforms showcasing rates. Keeping commission list up to date
• All trade contact lists or database information to be imported / updated:
• Updating of Product Manager database (must indicate new contacts, the removal of contacts, job changes - Lists to be updated live on one drive to avoid duplications)
• Tour operator database
• New Contacts/companies to update database
• Microsoft teams with the lodge on a set weekday to discuss future guests arriving the week ahead & necessary updates where required.

Annual / ad-hoc tasks:

• Updating of rate & special sheets.
• Updating of rates on all booking platforms.
• Guest visa letter requests
• Update Reservation Manual & Reservation Files on MS Teams.
