About the position
Our client, a leading Chemical Manufacturing company based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Reporting Assistant (Finance).
Purpose of the Role:
The Reporting Assistant will provide administrative and financial reporting support to the Reporting Accountant and Finance Department. The successful incumbent will assist with monthly reporting, account reconciliations, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting schedules.
- Support statutory reporting and tax administration.
- Participate in finance projects and ERP system improvements.
Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a finance or accounting environment
- Experience working on an ERP system (Finnivo preferred)
