About the position
Our client is looking for a newly qualified CA (SA) to join their dynamic team as a Reporting Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting function for the Group.
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, responsibilities include:
Consolidating and submitting monthly/quarterly reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and interim/year-end financial packs
Consolidating and submitting cash flow forecasts, debtors and creditors and other working capital reports
- Consolidating and submitting all corporate financial reports
- Liaising with auditors regarding financial packs, preparing notes for annual financial statements and reviewing the annual financial statements prepared
- IFRS calculations and disclosure
- Preparing tax returns and other tax requirements
- Ensuring intercompany transactions and balances are reconciled monthly
- Any other assistance deemed necessary by the Group Financial Manager/Divisional Executive: Finance from a financial perspective
- Continuously improving financial reporting and processes based on business needs
Requirements:
- CA (SA)
- Strong knowledge of technical IFRS accounting and analysis
- Group consolidation experience
- Multi-currency reporting exposure
- Preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
- Company tax knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics and systems (Advanced Excel, ERP, BI and reporting)
