Replenishment Buyer

About the position

Umhlanga - We're looking for an experienced Replenishment Buyer to support inventory planning and supply continuity. You  will drive stock optimisation and procurement efficiency in a high-demand environment.
Our client is a leader in the manufacturing sector, supplying a wide range of products to major industries. They are known for their high-volume production environment and commitment to operational efficiency. 

This role is responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, placing and expediting purchase orders, and supporting forecasting and demand planning. The Replenishment Buyer will work closely with suppliers, logistics, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and minimal inventory holding costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor stock trends, forecasts, and inventory levels to determine replenishment needs
• Generate purchase orders based on system demand and minimum order quantities
• Maintain inventory levels to support production and service delivery while avoiding excess stock
• Expedite overseas and local purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
• Collaborate with Demand Planning to support forecast accuracy
• Optimise order quantities to improve stock turnover and reduce holding costs
• Maintain accurate master data in procurement and ERP systems
• Analyse stock, aged inventory, and replenishment performance reports
• Track supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
• Support vendor agreement management within procurement guidelines
• Assist in meeting project deadlines and planning activities

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in supply chain OR similar is highly advantageous
• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning, or supply chain operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple product lines in a fast-paced environment

Remuneration:
Market-related salary based on experience
