The Role: Repair & Maintenance Manager
This role is responsible for ensuring that all facilities and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard. Based at a luxury property in Camps Bay, the Repair & Maintenance Manager leads a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, overseeing daily operations, preventative work, and emergency repairs to ensure safety, functionality, and a flawless guest environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all maintenance operations on-site
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and ensure efficient task delegation
- Coordinate with departments to respond promptly to maintenance issues
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules
- Manage contractor and supplier relationships
- Monitor and report on maintenance budgets and expenses
- Ensure compliance with OHAS standards and building regulations
- Interpret and work from architectural layouts and technical drawings
About You
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role
- Previous supervisory or project management experience is essential
- Technical background with broad maintenance skills
- Experience in hospitality or commercial property management is advantageous
- Proficient with MS Office and strong administrative capabilities
- Knowledge of OHAS regulations and building codes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Qualification in Maintenance or Project Management preferred
