About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Utilities Energy Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy systems and utilities management, with a passion for sustainability and innovation. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hydro, and biomass technologies, optimizing energy efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage renewable energy projects from conception through completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for renewable energy installations.
- Design and optimize energy systems, including solar, wind, hydro, and biomass.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure efficient integration of renewable energy solutions.
- Monitor and analyze energy production and consumption data to optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and regulatory filings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on renewable energy technologies and best practices.
- Development of new Energy projects and integration into existing process plants in the brewing and food processing sector
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent with 5 - 8 years of work experience, some of which as a contractor or Utilities consultant, and proven background with renewable energy
- At least 5 years FMCG or beverage experience would be an advantage.
- Design experience in utilities plant installations
- Design management on projects in excess of $5m
- Technically review and accurately adjudicate pros and cons of contractors bids
- Good process knowledge and understanding,
- Efficient networker between countries and plant zones
- General commercial and financial understanding
- Able to manage people and conflicts
- Computer skills ( Excel, Power Point, MS Projects, etc.)
