About the position

Position Overview:

As a Network Operations Technician, you will be an integral part of our Operations team, responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of our data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in a 365-days 24/7 Network Operations Center environment. In this role, the NOC Technician will be responsible for monitoring the network via alarm reporting tool. NOC Technician will create an outage ticket in Jira (Atlassian). Customers will be notified of outage and that we are working on trouble ticket to resolve. You are the face of our company to our customers, ensuring that every interaction is a best-in-class customer service experience. The primary responsibilities associated with the position include providing technical support to customers who are experiencing problems with their network and mentoring less experienced colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SOC 2 compliance, Linux operating systems, a thorough understanding of networking principles, experience interfacing GPUs remotely and Internet outages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and networking equipment in a data center environment.
  • Maintain SOC2 compliance guidelines.
  • Knowledge and experience working within a quality system like AS9100.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.
  • Conduct regular system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, expansions, and migrations.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to resolve urgent technical issues, including on-call support as needed.
  • Document system configurations, updates, and inventory, maintaining accurate records of data center assets.
  • Handle and maintain records for RMAs needed to be completed to various vendors.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network operations center management and others may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a NOC environment or similar experience.
  • Proficient with Linux operating systems and comfortable using command-line interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and experience with network troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team. Customer Service is a must.
  • Certification in Linux, networking (e.g., CCNA), or other relevant fields is a plus.
  • Experience in Network Security
  • Experience with RMAs, logistics, shipping and receiving.
  • It is a plus of experience working tickets in specialized material, counting, transactions in ERP, committing inventory, reserving inventory & buying inventory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365(Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Experience in Slack

Working hours:

  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday.
  • You will work a 10 hour shift, 4 days a week with 3 days off.
  • NOC is a 365-days, 24/7 Operations.
