Job Title: Relationship Manager – Banking

Overview:

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, driving business growth, and contributing to strategic initiatives within a high-performance banking environment. Prior sucessful experience in banking/financial services sector in a similar role is essential
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the bank’s client base, growing deposits and advances, and enhancing overall profitability, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively drive business growth across deposits, advances, foreign exchange, and overall profitability
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted markets locally and nationally
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships
- Promote the bank’s international capabilities, particularly within foreign trade and investment
- Lead, mentor, and support Relationship Officers across branches to ensure alignment with business objectives and culture
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including new branch development and business expansion
- Support the development and rollout of new banking products and services
- Ensure accurate and timely operational and financial reporting
- Maintain strict adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements
- Uphold and enhance the bank’s brand and reputation in the market
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance “working together” culture
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree)
- RE5 certification (essential)
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience within a banking environment
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
Key Competencies:
- Prior sucessful experience in banking/financial services sector in a similar role is essential.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Solid financial and sector knowledge, including exposure to Islamic banking products and markets
- Strong analytical and research capability
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex financial information
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a client portfolio
