About the position

An industry leader in agricultural finance is looking for a Relationship Manager Extraordinaire to cultivate long-term client partnerships, fertilise growth opportunities, and keep the loan book blooming across commercial and development farming sectors.

You'll be the go-to person for client relationship management, from first handshake to successful harvest (loan disbursement), working closely with credit, legal, agri-specialists, and risk teams. Yes, it's a bit of everything - strategy, analysis, business development, and a generous sprinkling of people skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Pitching financial and insurance products that help grow South Africa's agri-economy.
  • Assessing loan viability and digging deep into organisational structure, governance, and competitive advantage.
  • Managing client relationships like a seasoned farmer manages crops - proactively, patiently, and with purpose.
  • Visiting clients (yes, you'll need a valid driver's licence and love for the open road).
  • Collaborating with internal teams to structure smart, risk-aware deals.
  • Keeping an eye on the loan book, ensuring it stays healthy, green, and profitable.

You'll Need:

  • A 3-year qualification in Commerce, Business, Banking, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years in client relationship management, ideally in a financial services or agri-banking setting.
  • Knowledge of agricultural finance, financial statement interpretation, and credit principles.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical chops.
  • Microsoft Office wizardry (especially Excel - pivot like a pro).
  • A passion for development and transformation in agriculture.
