About the position

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Registry Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and effective registry services by maintaining, safeguarding, and updating personnel files and records in compliance with relevant prescripts and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close personnel files accurately and ensure that all HR records are up to date.
  • Register all incoming and outgoing files and documents, maintaining accurate records in the appropriate registers.
  • Retrieve, issue, and receive files while ensuring proper tracking and auditing of documents.
  • Maintain and safeguard all HR files to avoid misfiling or loss.
  • Provide excellent counter services and assist clients with enquiries.
  • Control access to the registry and ensure compliance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
  • Maintain the basement storage area and ensure closed files are properly stored and easily accessible.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Matric / NQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources prescripts, record management, and filing systems.
  • Strong organising and planning abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
