About the position

Provide specialised care where every moment matters. This opportunity in Rustenburg, North West is suited to a qualified Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional care to critically ill and premature newborns while working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialised nursing care to neonates requiring intensive care.
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
• Administer medication and specialised treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Operate and monitor neonatal equipment, including incubators, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
• Support and educate parents throughout their baby's hospital journey.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with quality and infection prevention standards.
• Work collaboratively with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Post Basic qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and technical skills within a NICU environment.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players will be advantageous.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
