About the position
Our client, a private healthcare facility in Cape Town, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Midwife to provide holistic care to mothers and newborns before, during, and after childbirth. The role requires hands-on experience in natural deliveries as well as antenatal and postnatal care.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing with Midwifery
- Current SANC registration as a Midwife
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maternity ward or labour ward setting
- Proven ability to manage natural deliveries independently
- Knowledge and practical experience in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Understanding of maternity emergency protocols and neonatal care
