About the position
A well-established nursing home located in the heart of Cape Town, committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Head of College to join their team.
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Asscesor and moderator for HWSTA and QCTO
- Coordinate the teaching and learning of the QCTO HBC program.
- Coordinate clinical learning exposure to students between college and clinical areas.
- Coordinate the successful submission of QCTO student’s files and exam process.
- Moderate student files when necessary.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
- Possess knowledge of relevant Legislation, Acts, Prescripts and Policy frameworks
- Proficiency in Facilitation, Assessor and Moderation, QCTO programs and evaluation approaches.
- Sound conflict management, decision making / problem solving skills and leadership skills.
- Good analytical, managerial and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current SANC registration
- Post-basic qualification in Nursing Education, Management and community health.
- HWSETA and QCTO Modurator
- Code 8 driver’s license.
- Must be able to build relationships and work in a team.
- Possess good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years’ nursing experience, registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC.
At least 5 years’ experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the 1- year post-basic qualification in Nursing Education with an Assessor and Moderator qualification
