About the position
Our client, a leading healthcare facility based in Centurion is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience to join their clinical team
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before, during and after cardiac catheterisation and related interventional procedures, while working closely with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing Cath Lab procedures.
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures.
- Assist cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition throughout procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards.
- Ensure Cath Lab equipment and supplies are prepared and readily available.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and complications during procedures.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring and patient care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures and professional nursing standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification (Degree/Diploma in Nursing).
- Current registration with SANC.
- Previous Cath Lab experience is essential.
- Experience in a private hospital environment will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-acuity environment
