JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Trend Analysis and Strategic Guidance
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices that are relevant to the organisation's operations.
- Provide effective guidance on company's processes to ensure operational compliance.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Area Process Manager team, incorporating industry insights into compliance processes.
- Actively ensure the completion of the business objectives by the Area Process Managers.
- Actively participate in the development of the region's budgets and business objectives.
Team Leadership and Coaching
- Lead and mentor the Area Process Manager team, providing guidance on administrative, compliance, fraud, and risk management processes.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions with Area Process Managers to enhance the team's skills and knowledge, accompanying them on on-site visits.
- Collect feedback from Area Process Managers after store visits and share with the Retail Operations Hub's Operations Excellence possible risks identified that may affect store and operations processes.
Communication with Other Teams
- Liaise with other teams within the Retail Operations Hub to share feedback derived from the execution of store visits that might impact their definitions and follow-up.
- Gather data intelligence from Performance and Financial monitoring teams to consider important inputs that must be shared with the Area Process Manager team.
Qualifications and Experience: - A business or retail related degree will be advantageous.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant retail experience with a minimum of 3-5 years as a Regional Process Manager or similar level Retail experience (advantageous)
- Valid drivers' license
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams within a regional footprint.
Skills:
- Process Auditing and Analysis: Skilled in evaluating financial reconciliation processes, identifying gaps in compliance with security protocols, and ensuring adherence to policies to minimise risks and stock losses.
- Inventory and Workflow Optimisation: Expertise in overseeing stock management workflows, leveraging technology such as RFID, and ensuring effective tracking and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Regulatory and Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of legal and compliance frameworks (CPA, NCA, FICA, POPIA) with the ability to monitor and ensure adherence to OHS standards.
- People Management: Knowledge and skill to apply people management processes, which includes the ability to identify, engage, develop, motivate, and retain talent as per the organisation's policies and procedures, including effectively managing absenteeism.
