About the position
The Regional Manager will oversee all aspects of the business unit to drive profitable growth and revenue through strategic planning, execution, team leadership, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Performance & Support (25%)
- Implement brand awareness initiatives aligned with marketing strategy.
- Monitor sales activities, ensure targets are met, and conduct regular performance reviews with the team.
- Manage customer relationships, regional claims, and partner performance.
Supply Chain & Logistics Management (20%)
- Oversee warehouse operations, distribution, and reverse logistics.
- Conduct stock counts, report variances, and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures.
Business Development & Growth (10%)
- Develop retention and growth strategies to optimize regional sales.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential partners, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Assess market positioning and implement action plans to maintain and grow footprint.
Governance (15%)
- Maintain operational controls, risk registers, and compliance with legislation.
- Address internal and external audit findings and ensure SHEQ compliance.
Stakeholder Management (10%)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the business in stakeholder meetings and address issues promptly.
People Management (10%)
- Conduct performance appraisals, implement training and development plans, and address employee relations matters.
- Ensure performance contracts and HR policies are adhered to across the region.
Financial Management (10%)
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitor expenditure.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives and ensure effective use of resources.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Sales & Marketing Management or related field (NQF 7)
- Advantageous: Bachelor's Hons Degree (NQF 8)
- 6-8 years' experience in Sales & Marketing within a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Technical & Behavioural Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP, ERP systems, Salesforce
- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing processes
- Proactive, action-oriented, customer-focused, resilient, with excellent planning, problem-solving, people management, and communication skills
