About the position
Oversee the HR operations and strategy of multiple campuses in private education based in Kenya and Botswana, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, driving change initiatives, and fostering a high-performance, compliant, and people-focused culture.
**Note: Previous experience working in Africa or a willingness to relocate to Kenya is essential.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or Industrial Psychology
- 8+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior/management role
- Registration with relevant HR professional body
- Broad knowledge of employment law, compensation, talent management, and employee relations
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and HR systems
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and implement regional HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Act as strategic HR partner to leadership, driving change and transformation
- Oversee full talent lifecycle including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention
- Guide performance management processes and foster continuous feedback culture
- Ensure fair and competitive compensation practices; manage salary benchmarking
- Promote effective employee relations and ensure compliance with labour legislation
- Lead organizational design, succession planning, and talent development initiatives
- Provide regular HR reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights
- Uphold HR governance, mitigate risk, and ensure policy compliance
- Drive positive culture and embed values across the region
