About the position
As Provincial Head, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to the provincial business unit. You will: Drive business growth and profitability targets Lead development finance initiatives that support transformation in the agricultural sector Oversee end-to-end Client Relationship & Client Experience Management Strengthen stakeholder relationships across government, industry, and local communities Ensure sound governance, risk management, and compliance Build and lead a high-performing provincial team This role requires a dynamic leader with diversified, multidisciplinary expertise and the ability to balance commercial sustainability with developmental objectives. Key Responsibilities ? Development & Transformation Leadership Align provincial strategy with organisational objectives Execute integrated sales and portfolio growth strategies Deliver on provincial development mandates ? Financial Performance & Portfolio Growth Grow and optimise the provincial loan book Monitor portfolio composition (STL, MTL, LTL mix) Manage cost-to-income ratio and ensure portfolio health ? Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management Build strong relationships with provincial government, industry role players, and community leaders Drive brand visibility and business development initiatives Implement relationship management standards across the province ? Operational & People Leadership Manage lending, product sales, customer service, and operational support Lead performance management, capacity planning, and employee development Foster a high-performance, positive workplace culture ? Governance & Risk Ensure full compliance with policies and regulatory requirements Manage audits, risk registers, and mitigation plans Oversee provincial budgeting and financial management Minimum Requirements B Degree in Commerce, Business Sciences, or equivalent in Banking/Financial Services 5-8 years' experience in Development Finance or Commercial Banking 5-8 years' experience in Credit, Lending, Loan Assessment, Financial Modelling & Due Diligence 2-3 years' management experience (Branch or Sales Manager level) including: Operations & service delivery Stakeholder engagement Sales leadership Critical Competencies Financial & Business Acumen Credit & Lending Expertise Financial Analysis & Due Diligence SAP & Microsoft Office proficiency Strong governance and risk management capability Customer-centric leadership approach
