Nationality: South African citizen / permanent resident
Location: Maputo, Mozambique
Reporting to: Factory Manager
Only Red Seal Qualified Tradesmen with relevant experience of around 10 years need apply.
Purpose of the Job
To ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of equipment and the development and implementation of actions to improve the availability and cost effectiveness of equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum of N4 (NQF 05) with mechanical trade theory as subject (or equivalent)
- Red Seal qualification as a mechanical fitter, fitter and turner, or equivalent trade.
- Management, motivation, quality assurance, and problem-solving courses will be advantageous
Mandatory Experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an industrial (steel) manufacturing environment.
- Experience as foreman, superintendent or manager.
- Overhead crane maintenance, hoist brakes and gearboxes.
- Hydraulic systems, precision control valves and variable displacement pump repair and optimization.
- Skilled in the use of Lathe, milling machines and other machine shop equipment.
- Repair and refurbish various types of gearboxes.
- Maintenance execution control
- Sound understanding of the electrical control systems of the mill and auxiliaries.
