As a Recruitment Specialist, you will have a proven track record in managing the recruitment cycle for technical roles across various engineering disciplines. This role requires a strong understanding of the technical landscape, the ability to source, attract, and select high-quality candidates, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adept at maintaining company policies, and committed to achieving recruitment goals in line with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure job descriptions accurately reflect the roles and qualifications required for technical positions. Revise job descriptions as necessary.
- Recruitment Strategy and Sourcing: Identify the most effective methods for attracting top candidates, utilizing various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and recruitment agencies. Post job advertisements and manage candidate outreach.
- Screening, Selection and Interviewing: Review candidate CVs and assess qualifications, matching them with the technical needs of the company. Conduct interviews with the line manager and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring an efficient interview process.
- Vetting Process: Perform comprehensive vetting of candidates, including reference checks, qualification verification, security checks, and salary negotiations. Ensure all necessary credentials are validated before advancing candidates.
- Onboarding and Candidate Relations: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, keeping candidates informed and engaged throughout the recruitment cycle. Provide regular updates on application status and facilitate their transition into the company.
- Salary Negotiations and Compliance: Advise senior management on salary negotiations and ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment laws and data protection regulations.
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships within the technical and industry communities to stay updated on talent trends and candidate availability, supporting the company's recruitment goals.
Requirements
- A Diploma in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology is essential; a Degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of proven experience recruiting in the engineering and manufacturing industries.
- A thorough understanding of how to recruit for technical and niche skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and remain adaptable.
- A high degree of integrity with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment software.
- A valid driver's license and own transport.
