About the position
We are seeking a professional, well-presented, and highly organised Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and stakeholders, you will serve as the face of the company, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience. You will also provide administrative support to the Office Manager and general staff, playing a key role in the smooth running of the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Front of House
- Confirm visitor appointments before granting access.
- Welcome and direct clients, visitors, and guests in a professional manner.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and queries.
- Maintain a neat, professional, and welcoming reception area.
- Diary & Scheduling Management
- Manage diaries and coordinate appointments/meetings for senior staff.
- Organise meeting rooms, refreshments, and logistics as required.
- Administration & Office Support
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Office Manager and wider team.
- Assist with document preparation, filing, and correspondence.
- Support staff with day-to-day operational and administrative needs.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and couriers.
- Business Support
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers as directed by the Office Manager.
- Assist with office events, functions, and client meetings.
- Uphold company standards and values when interacting with stakeholders.

- High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Well-presented and confident in dealing with senior executives and clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
- Tertiary diploma or certificate in Administration/Office Management advantageous.
- 2–6 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Previous exposure to the mining, investment, or related industries will be an advantage.
