An established co-educational private junior school is seeking a professional, approachable, and organised Frontline Receptionist. This role is central to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for students, parents, staff, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential
- A relevant certificate or diploma in reception, office management, administration, or secretarial studies is preferred
- Computer literacy is essential - proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and emergency protocols
- Experience working in a school environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist all visitors, parents, students, and staff
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls; manage reception inbox and correspondence
- Enforce access control and maintain accurate visitor records
- Provide day-to-day administrative support, including data capturing, filing, and document preparation
- Manage mail and deliveries
- Assist in drafting and distributing newsletters, notices, and school communication
- Maintain confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism at all times
