About the position
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our company based in Cape Town!
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression for clients, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls promptly.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and couriers, including emails, distributing deliveries and packages.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Provide support to various departments and managers as needed.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Handle basic inquiries and provide accurate information about the company.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Matric or equivalent (additional certifications in Office Administration are a plus).
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Driver’s license, be able to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
